Deployment of a specialized multimodal routing service for the Northern Province.
High-quality routing services are a high-stakes priority in New Caledonia, particularly for obtaining the most accurate accessibility metrics possible. In the Northern Province, road data can sometimes be incomplete or fail to reflect real-world conditions. With certain tribes located on small islands, the creation of a multimodal network was essential.
Solution: To meet the Northern Province’s specific needs, Magis utilized Network Analyst to co-build a multimodal network that accurately represents local geography. A dedicated web application was developed and integrated with the New Caledonian Government’s Address API. This provides a powerful tool for generating precise accessibility measurements for the local population.
